Video Tutorial – Colouring Shimmer Paper

Hey SparkleDaisy Peeps!! Check out my newest video tutorial on colouring your silver glimmer paper! I'm using this technique to make Halloween ornaments, but you could use it for LOTS of projects! The ornament pictured above, I coloured the shimmer paper with black reinker. Love it!! Let me know what you think!
Snowflake Soiree with Video Tutorial

This is one of those times where the photo really doesn't do the project justice. These are swap cards I did this week and the entire background of the card is covered in Dazzling Diamonds glitter. So look very closely to see the dazzle lol. I used the Sizzix Multipurpose Sheets to add the glitter, and since I thought many of you may not have used these before, I have included a video tutorial! It is super easy but seeing it makes it so much easier! You can use these sheets with the Big Shot too – imagine using this idea with the large snowflake from the Snow Flurry Die from the Holiday Catalgoue! The possibilities are endless

Here are the supplies I used to make this card.
Stamps: Snowflake Soiree, Mixed Medley
Ink: Marina Mist, Midnight Muse
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Midnight Muse, Whisper White
Extra’s: Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon, Rhinestones, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, Big Shot, Snow Flurry Bigz Die, 3/4” circle punch
Check out the video and let me know what you think!
Falling Gently – Baby Wipe Technique Video

It's the time of year for lots of Swap Cards. We demonstrators like to share ideas with each other, and one of the ways we do that is by swapping! We each make a bunch of cards (generally they are all the same) and we trade them with each other (or swap them) so that we have lots of different ideas to show customers! This is a Fall Swap I joined and I am so pleased with how it turned out! I used the Gently Falling Stamp Set and the Baby Wipe Technique. I've included a video below for those of you who have never done this technique before. it is easy and so nice!!! I just love fall colours!

I forgot to say in the video that the Green Reinker I used is Garden Green.

Ribbon Rosettes with Jumbo Sticky Rounds
Have you had a chance to look at the Holiday Mini? There are so many wonderful new products – it took me many times flipping through to see it all! If you live in Canada and don't have a demonstrator – email me and I can mail you a copy of this fabulous catalogue! marlayne@sparkledaisy.com

One of the small things I love in this catalogue is the Jumbo Sticky Rounds. You can use them to make awesome Ribbon Rosettes. They are so easy to make and so LOVELY! I made a video to show you how to do it, but LET ME WARN YOU – it may be the worst video I have ever done lol. The "boot" for my tripod (the part that you screw into the camera to hold the camera to the tripod) has gone missing (GRRRR…) so I was left to improvise and it wasn't the best. But if you want to see how I made the rosette it, it will work in a pinch. In the meantime I will make a better plan for my next video I promise! I didn't mention in the video that the sticky rounds are doubled sided and when you are done, you just peel the red backing off and then you can stick it to your project. Sometimes it is a little challenging to peel the red layer off, but I use my paper piercer to help me and I find that makes it easier.
Happy Stamping!
