Happy New Year with the Occasions Mini!!

Kids are back at school and the holidays are over – welcome 2012! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are rearin' to go for the new year! I get to start off my first week of work with my technique clubs – I LOVE my technique clubs. I have 2 fabulous projects for them and this is one of them. Over the holidays i received a stunning Christmas card from my downline Cindy Major (you may know her – she is a stamping star!). Anyway, I have copied her idea (her card spelled NOEL) and changed it for Valentines! I'm using the adorable Sale-A-Bration paper Everyday Enchantment (SAB starts on Jan 24!). Don't you LOVE the pleated satin ribbon? It comes in 4 colours and is GORGEOUS!!
PS – if you are in my downline or WANT to be in my downline, we'll be making this card at our SparkleDaisy Stamptogether on Wed Jan 18! Don't miss it! Ask me about joining my team of SparkleDaisies

Ballerina Card
My daughter starts her Nutcracker performances next week and I wanted to send her the perfect card to tell her to "break a leg". I saw a version of this card a while ago but haven't had the chance to case it yet. SO my pre order items from the new Occasions and Sale A Bration minis arrived this week and I thought it would be perfect to use! I used the SAB paper (you'll be able to earn it for free during SAB in the new year) and the Dream comes from a new set in the Occasions mini (also available in the new year). The skirt is made from the Blossom Punch and the top from the Tab Punch. A little bit of bling with the rhinestones and viola!

Make four shaker Christmas cards and receive an entire package of Mica flakes! Please bring your scissors, a bone folder and your adhesives (snail, dimensionals, sticky strip and liquid Tombow glue). Creative Escape Retreat Review

I'm a little late with this update – I took a few days off work after our retreat was over (my boss is good like that lol) and it has taken me a while to get back to post these photos. But our retreat was fabulous and the ladies were GREAT! Here's just a little sneak peek of what happened! Check out the goodie bags in the photo above – full of stampin' supplies! Some of the make and takes are pictured below. I'll have to do a second post with more of the make and takes – too many to fit in one post!

We eat scrumptious food, there is loads of space to work on your projects in the ballroom and there is even a swap!

My favourite part of the weekend is the Saturday night PJ party. Check out these enthusiatic crafters!! Love their costumes!

There are lots of treats over the weekend – food and stamping treats! Check out the cake pops below – they were AWESOME! The other treats pictured below are filled with stamping goodies.

So we do lots of stamping and scrapping but there's lots of fun and silliness too. Check out Phil below. He works at the hotel on the night shift and was kind enough to judge our card contest! He was a great sport! The orange thongs were from the scavenger hunt and Kim and I had fun posing with the Gaga Girls glasses.

Thanks to everyone who attended – you made the weekend so much fun!!!
