For a friend
It's never easy when a friend loses someone. And I never know quite what to say that doesn't sound - wrong somehow. So it's a perfect time to send a homemade card to show that you care and you're sorry for the loss. I love the saying on this card – it is from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set (wood – 113252 clear – 1278050). Hug those dear to you and let them know you love them.

Disney Recap

Well maybe recap is a bit of an overstatement. I coudn't possibley recap the entire trip here – there just isn't enough room. Disney, as promised, was magical and I can speak for all of us when I say that EVERYONE had fun!
My absolute FAVOURITE part of the trip was spending time with my family. There were 15 of us – 8 adults and 7 kids. And I did manage to give squishy hugs to all the kids (that was my goal). There are so many cute photos of them all – I had trouble picking which ones to post. So I tried not to overthink it and just give you a few…. Aren't they the cutest little peeps!
And Stampin' Up! did not disappoint. The hotel was superb and the evening event was incredible. We ate outside on the Indiana Jones Stunt Show set. The table settings were beautiful and they had a DJ and Belly Dancers. Wow – just Wow!
And of course there were lots of pillow gifts! They make you feel so special!! Plus we each received our own catalogue (ahead of schedule!) and I LOVE it. The photos are gorgeous and the layout is clean and crisp. My "want it" list is very long!
Having a break with my family was just what we all needed. Time together and fun! Now I'm back and ready to go again (good thing because it is a busy week! Are you coming to Spring Fling on Saturday?).
Have you been to Disney? Do you "get" the magic? The magic got me for sure – hook, line and sinker.
Grunge Rock and Extreme Elements
I will REALLY miss using these two stamp sets. Grunge Rock (w-117080, c-120555) and Extreme Elements (115181). Sometimes it can be more challenging to find the right card for the men in your life (especially my 13 year old boy and my brother in law who is very musical) and these two sets are used often around here. I love them so much, I'm not going to sell these at my BOGO new Catalogue Event on Tuesday June 19!!! I just can't part with them. So if you have have someone in your life that these images would be perfect for, don't miss out on these fabulous stamps – get them before the end of May!
Awash With Flowers (Going soon!)
Over the next few weeks I will be highlighting some of my favouirite stamp sets that will be retiring at the end of May. As you probably know, I LOVE flower stamps!! They are just so pretty and really – I can't get enough of them! This set is called Awash with Flowers (w-117062, c-120549) and is a lovely 2-step stamp set that is gorgeous! I found these cards in my stamp room and it made me want to get it out again and stamp lots with this set before it goes! I'm not sure who made the card on the left – it was a swap card I received so if it is yours, be sure and let me know!

Angry Birds Birthday
Today is my honey's birthday! Michelle Sturgeon made a card like this one at our Creative Escape Weekend Retreat, and as soon as I saw it I knew I had to make one for Chris. He is a bit of an Angry Bird addict and I think he will appreciate it. I used the 1 3/4" circle punch, the heart punch (upside down), and the Boho Blossom punch for the feathers (at least I *think* they are feathers). Although it is a silly card and I hope it makes him smile – I do want him to know he is the most amazing partner. I can't imagine my life without him. The more we have been together, the more I love and appreciate him. Happy birthday Chris!
